Cockroaches

American cockroaches, German cockroaches, and more!

Cockroaches are among the dirtiest of pests around. Our large American Roaches can come in from the outdoors, but they can also come in directly from the sewer, trailing in filth through your home. German cockroaches infest in high numbers and have short gestation periods, leading to advance infestations quickly.

What can we do?
Even if you keep your home as clean as a whistle, your home is never out of bounds for a cockroach. They'll eat just about anything, so even if there are no crumbs around, they'll eat their own excrement and even each other!
Heavier American Cockroach infestations in the Tucson area are almost always associated with excessive moisture. Either a leak in a wall, under a slab, or a break in a sewer line is the cause of higher numbers of these large roaches running around your home.
German Cockroaches are brought into your home on groceries, furniture, or packaging that either has live roaches in it or contains eggs that will hatch. These roaches start out very small, and can be missed easily until they've grown closer to adulthood. German Cockroach populations can be quite challenging for a homeowner to deal with, and a professional touch is recommended for complete control.
Identification is key. Knowing what kind of cockroach you're dealing with is critical in determining control methods. American Cockroaches are larger, while German Cockroaches are small. American Cockroaches are reddish brown, while Germans are grayish with black stripes. Call a professional for assistance in identifying your cockroach!
There are other common cockroaches, as well. Oriental and Turkestan roaches are actually quite common, but are far fewer in number and less invasive indoors.

If you're concerned because you're seeing cockroaches around the home, or you don't want to see them at all, call a professional to discuss control options!
